My first embroidery project

Well my wonderful husband bought me the Singer embroidery machine that I wanted for my birthday. I finally have done something with it, and it only took me 2 ½ months. A friend of mine wanted some hand towels for her mother-in-law for Christmas so I agreed to do them. The first one I tried failed miserably because of me of course. I was not lifting the presser foot before I changed the thread…who knew that would be such a big deal? Well I of course didn’t. So the thread would bunch up under the towel in the bobbin area..I think it is called a bird’s nest, not too sure about that. Anyway after much frustration, a ruined towel, and lots of reading I finally got it to work. I think in the end they turned out great. She seemed to really like them and, of course, that is all that matters.
Thanks for stopping by, and have a fantabulous day!

  1. These are awesome!! My mother gave me her 'old' embroidery machine and I love being able to make gifts!! There certainly is a learning curve, but well worth it!!
